Community Guidelines
Effective date: June 22, 2026
Cheftal is for sharing food, recipes, and cooking inspiration. These guidelines explain the basics for keeping the community useful, respectful, and safe for everyone.
1. Be kind and constructive
Share feedback in a way that helps people cook better. Do not harass, bully, threaten, shame, or target people based on who they are, what they eat, or how they cook.
Disagreements about food, technique, culture, nutrition, or taste are welcome when they stay respectful and focused on the topic.
2. Share food content responsibly
Post recipes, photos, videos, cook notes, ratings, and comments that you have the right to share. Give credit where it is due and avoid copying someone else's work in a misleading way.
Do not post spam, scams, misleading promotions, malicious links, or content designed to manipulate feeds, ratings, follows, invitations, or recommendations.
3. Keep safety in mind
Use care when sharing instructions involving heat, knives, appliances, fermentation, canning, allergens, alcohol, or other higher-risk cooking steps. Do not encourage unsafe food handling or dangerous challenges.
Nutrition, allergen, substitution, and AI-assisted information can be wrong or incomplete. Verify critical details yourself, especially when cooking for children, people with allergies, or anyone with medical dietary needs.
4. Respect privacy
Do not share someone else's private information, private messages, contact details, address, location, photos, or personal circumstances without permission.
Respect blocks, privacy settings, private profiles, and closed collaborations. Do not try to evade limits, bans, or access controls.
5. Keep Cheftal welcoming
Do not post hateful, sexually exploitative, graphic, violent, unlawful, infringing, or otherwise abusive content. Cheftal is not a place for intimidation, exploitation, or real-world harm.
If you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines, use reporting tools where available or contact hello@cheftal.app.
6. How we enforce
We may remove content, limit distribution, revoke share links, restrict features, suspend accounts, or take other action when we believe these guidelines or our Terms of Service have been violated.
Context matters. We may consider severity, intent, risk of harm, repeat behavior, and whether a user is trying to avoid enforcement.
